The Winning Number

In this dream I had power and luck. Where I was, I haven't a clue but it involved maybe a music shop or a club. We were told to take pieces of paper. I knew I was going to win as the man next to me preceeded to give me additional paper and take away what I already had. I was left with more than one piece of paper but when the guy came round to collect them, I hurridly wrote my name and had no idea what the date was so left that blank.

Although I knew I was going to win, I didn't know what the prize was and I was still disappointed when the first cube was drawn (I guess this was the dream version of bingo) and it was red and number 43. After the caller shouted that no one had that number my hopes picked up and it was yellow and 15... the winner was Sebbie... um Debbie. I wasn't overly excited - I guess knowing I was going to win takes away all the joy of it until my favourite singer was up a few steps about to sing a song.

The room was pretty full for the draw but with my power I convinced people they didn't like her and they turned to leave, leaving a pretty empty room. I walked towards her and a friend from school put her arm through mine with another girl and we were standing in front of her singing her songs. I don't know if Laura, Laura or Mairi like her music but they were singing along and I'm sure we were in the same French class at school.

After she'd finished singing it was time for my prize. As I walked past the counter a guy wanted to give me a hug... no idea who he was... then I ascended the stairs to be presented what looked like a medal... not too sure. I cried, she cried then guy said it was time to go. And I woke up! Ahhh!
